If you run more than one claw, ride, or arcade machine with the same play packages, you should not rebuild every ArcadePay Controller by hand. The ArcadePay dashboard has a Copy Config tool that duplicates a working setup from one machine onto others.
Set up one controller correctly. Test it. Then copy that configuration across the rest of the route.
What Copy Config Copies
Copy Config duplicates the settings that control guest checkout and machine credits. In normal use that includes:
- Products and prices guests see on the payment page
- Pulse settings
- How many pulses each play package sends
- Currency
- Transaction fees, if you added any
So if one claw is already set to 2 Plays for $2, 3 Plays for $3, and 6 Plays - 1 FREE Play for $5, you can push that same setup to every similar machine instead of editing each package with a pencil.
Start With a Known-Good Machine
Your source machine has to be right. Copy Config is fast because it copies exactly — including mistakes.
Before you copy, open the source machine and confirm:
- The machine name or location is the one you meant to use
- Products (on a computer: Products & Pricing) shows the correct guest-facing offers
- Pulse Settings match the actual machine type
On a phone the Products tab is shorter. Desktop may look slightly different, but the fields are the same.
How to Copy a Configuration
- Open the ArcadePay dashboard
- Go to Machines
- Find the machine that already has the correct setup
- Tap or click Copy Config
- Choose the source machine if prompted
- Select the target machine or machines that should receive the same setup
- Preview the changes if a preview is shown
- Confirm the copy
When it finishes, open one target machine and check Products. The names, prices, and pulse counts should match the source.
When Copy Config Helps Most
- Several claw machines priced the same way
- A replacement controller for a machine that already had the right setup
- A new batch of controllers going onto the same play packages
- A route where every similar machine should show the same checkout options
When to Be Careful
Do not blindly copy between machines that are wired or priced differently.
- One machine uses quarters and another uses tokens
- One has a bill reader and another does not
- One uses a prize sensor or locker box input and another does not
- The target should have different play packages or pricing
- The target is a different model or install type
Copy only to the same kind of machine. A wrong pulse count is the classic miss: the price looks right, the guest pays, and the machine credits the wrong number of plays.
Quick Check Before You Leave the Site
- Open the target machine and confirm Products looks right
- Confirm the customer preview shows the right offers
- Confirm the pulse count matches how that cabinet should credit
- Run a small test play before you walk away
