How to Copy Config Across ArcadePay Controllers

If you run several machines with the same play packages, rebuilding every ArcadePay Controller by hand wastes time — and invites typos. Your ArcadePay dashboard has a faster path: Copy Config.

Set up one machine carefully, test it, then copy that known-good setup onto similar cabinets across the location or route.

What Copy Config Copies

Copy Config duplicates the settings that control customer checkout and machine credits. In normal use, that includes:

  • Products and prices shown to guests
  • Pulse settings
  • Product-to-pulse counts
  • Currency
  • Transaction fees, if you added any

Example: if one claw is set to 2 Plays for $2, 3 Plays for $3, and 6 Plays - 1 FREE Play for $5, you can push that same package list onto every similar claw without rebuilding each product card.

Before You Copy

Start with the machine that already works correctly. That is your source.

Open the source machine and confirm:

  1. The machine name or location is the one you meant to use.
  2. Products & Pricing shows the right guest-facing offers.
  3. Pulse Settings match the actual machine type (quarter vs token, prize input, and so on).

Copy Config saves time by duplicating settings exactly. If the source is wrong, the mistake gets copied too.

How to Copy a Configuration

  1. Open the ArcadePay dashboard and go to Machines.
  2. Find the machine that already has the correct setup.
  3. Click Copy Config.
  4. Choose the source machine if prompted.
  5. Select the target machine or machines that should receive the same setup.
  6. Preview the changes if a preview is shown, then confirm.

After the copy finishes, open one target machine and check Products & Pricing. Prices, packages, and pulse counts should match the source.

When Copy Config Shines

  • Several claw machines all priced the same way
  • A replacement controller for a cabinet that already had the right setup
  • A new batch of ArcadePay Controllers joining an existing location
  • A route where every machine should show the same checkout packages

When to Be Careful

Do not blindly copy between machines that are wired or priced differently.

  • One machine uses quarters and another uses tokens
  • One has a bill reader and another does not
  • One uses a prize sensor or locker box input and another does not
  • The target should have different play packages or pricing
  • The target is a different model or install type

Copy Config is powerful because it is fast. Use it intentionally.

Quick Check After Copying

  • Open the target machine and confirm Products & Pricing looks right.
  • Confirm the customer preview shows the correct offers.
  • Confirm the pulse count matches how the machine credits plays.
  • Run a small test payment or free-play test before you leave the location.

If a machine accepts payment but does not credit correctly, check the pulse count first. A common miss is the dollar price looking right while pulses are still set for a different package.
