Cash reports only stay useful when every pulse that lands in them belongs there. If a machine still sends coin or bill pulses you do not want counted — leftover test coins, a pulse line that is not cash, or a cabinet where cash reporting is not part of the deal — your ArcadePay dashboard has a clean switch for that.
Ignore in Cash Counting tells that pulse input to stop adding to cash totals. Cashless sales keep reporting normally. You just stop mixing in cash pulses you never meant to track.
When Operators Use It
- You ran cash or coin tests and do not want those pulses in location reports
- A pulse input should credit the machine but should not count as cash income
- Cash counting is not relevant for that machine, and you want cleaner cashless-only reports
It is unchecked by default, so cash pulses still count until you turn it on. It is also a per-pulse setting — set it on each pulse config you want excluded, usually Pulse 1 for coins and cashless.
How to Turn On Ignore in Cash Counting
- Open your ArcadePay dashboard.
- Go to Machines.
- Search for and open the machine you are adjusting.
- Open Pulse Settings.
- Under Pulse 1 (or the pulse you want to exclude), expand Advanced Options (gear icon).
- At the bottom, check Ignore in Cash Counting.
There is a small info icon next to the label if you want the in-dashboard description. No separate Save button — the checkbox takes effect when you set it.
Before You Flip the Switch
Confirm which pulse input that machine uses for cash or credits. Changing the wrong pulse can make reports harder to read, not easier.
Ignore in Cash Counting does not replace free-play test credits. When you only need to prove the machine credits, send a free play from Products & Pricing (mobile: Pricing) with the purple down arrow — that path does not inflate cash counts. Use Ignore in Cash Counting when the pulse line itself should stay out of cash reporting going forward.
