Your ArcadePay Controller is on the way — or already in the box. Before you drive to the location, give it one job at home, the shop, or the warehouse: finish its first cellular connection.
That first power-on takes 10–30 minutes. After that, future reconnects are typically about 15 seconds. Do the long wait where you have time, so on-site work is wiring and a pulse check — not standing around while the network provisions.
Why This Matters for Install Day
ArcadePay Controllers use cellular. There is no WiFi setup. The first time a unit talks to the network, provision takes longer. If you wait until you are already at the stop, that 10–30 minute window eats into your service schedule.
Power it on ahead of time. Confirm it shows Online in your ArcadePay dashboard. Then go on-site ready to install.
Before You Leave for the Stop
- Power the ArcadePay Controller at home, the shop, or the warehouse. If the machine is already there, connect the controller and power the machine on.
- Leave it powered for 10–30 minutes.
- Watch the lights: 1 blue light means powered on. Two solid red lights mean it is connecting. A blinking red light means it is connected.
- Open your ArcadePay dashboard, go to Machines, and confirm the controller shows Online.
- Scan the QR code. If the buy options appear, you are ready. Wait until that works before you apply QR stickers.
Confirm it is online before you leave for the location.
On-Site After It Has Already Provisioned
Power the machine off before you connect or disconnect wiring. Use the method in the installation guide. Then power back on.
Because the first connection is already done, reconnect is typically about 15 seconds. If signal is weak at the location, move the antenna outside the cabinet.
