Moving Machines? How to Relocate Your ArcadePay Controller in Minutes

Rotating a claw to a better spot, swapping a slow ride for a hotter title, or consolidating two soft machines into one strong location — you do not need a support ticket to move the ArcadePay Controller.

Your pricing, products, pulse settings, and account registration stay on that controller. Unplug, move, plug in, put a fresh QR sticker on the new cabinet, and you are usually back online in about 15 seconds.

ArcadePay Controller connected through the coin mechanism connector on a machine

What You Need

  • An ArcadePay Controller that is already registered and active on your account
  • A spare QR sticker from your original kit for the new machine
  • About 2–3 minutes on site

Move It in Five Steps

  1. Power off the original machine and unplug the ArcadePay Controller from the coin mechanism connector.
  2. Plug the controller into the new machine using the same connector style you already use (Easy Connect or hardwire).
  3. Apply a fresh QR sticker on the new cabinet where guests can scan it easily. Do not reuse a sticker that stayed on the old machine.
  4. Power on the new machine. Because the controller is already on your account, it reconnects on its own — typically within about 15 seconds.
  5. Optional — rename the machine in your ArcadePay dashboard under Machines so the label matches the new location.

Your existing prices, products, and pulse settings carry over automatically. You do not need ArcadePay to reassign anything on our side for a same-account move.

Quick Checks After the Move

  • In the dashboard under Machines, confirm the controller shows Online.
  • Scan the new QR sticker (or open the payment page from the QR icon) and confirm buy options load.
  • If the new cabinet takes a different connector, ask ops for the right Easy Connect harness or hardwire pigtail before you force a fit.

When This Is Not the Right Path

  • No spare stickers? Email ops@arcadepay.app and we can send replacements.
  • Moving the controller to a different operator’s account? That is a transfer, not a DIY relocate — see the transfer help page or email ops.
  • Controller was removed from your account? Use the reactivate flow instead of this move guide.

The Takeaway

Same operator, new cabinet: unplug, reconnect, fresh sticker, rename if you want. Settings travel with the controller, so you are not rebuilding pricing from scratch every time you reshuffle a floor.

Stuck on reconnect, missing stickers, or not sure which harness fits the new machine? Email ops@arcadepay.app with the device ID and the old and new machine names.
