Growing your route is exciting, and adding cashless to your next machine is one of the easiest wins you can give your guests. The good news: ArcadePay Controllers work with a wide range of amusement, vending, and skill-prize machines. Here is a quick way to tell if your next machine is a great fit, so you can order with confidence.
Start With One Simple Question
Does the machine accept coins or bills today? If it has a coin mech or bill validator, an ArcadePay Controller can likely connect to it. That covers most of what operators run:
- Claw machines, including most major brands like Neofuns, Smart Industries, and Elaut
- Skill-prize and redemption machines
- Pinball machines, via pulse or MDB connection
- Video arcade games with a coin door or bill validator
- Locker box systems and token dispensers
Vending Machines: Look for the MDB Port
Drink, snack, and combo vending machines work with ArcadePay when they have an MDB cashless connector. MDB is the standard cashless interface on commercial vending machines, and most modern machines have one built in.
To check, open the coin mech area and look for a rectangular multi-pin connector, usually labeled MDB, DEX, or Cashless. If you see it, you are likely good to go.
Know Your Connection Type
- Easy-Connect (6-pin / 4-pin): claw and redemption machines
- MDB Cashless: vending machines and some amusement machines
- Pulse / Coin Credit: older cabinets, pinball, and custom builds
- Hardwire pigtail: older bill validators without a standard connector
You do not need to be an expert here. Knowing roughly which one you have just makes install day smoother.
Get a Fast Yes: Snap Three Photos
Not sure? You do not have to guess. Before you order, send these to ops@arcadepay.app:
- The front of the machine, so we can see the brand and model.
- The coin mech or bill validator area, inside the door.
- A close-up of the connector where the coin mech or validator plugs in.
We will confirm compatibility before you order. We would much rather give you a clear answer up front than have you wait on a unit that does not fit.
The Takeaway
If your next machine takes coins or bills, or has an MDB port, it is very likely a great fit for ArcadePay. When in doubt, three quick photos get you a confident answer, and your guests get to tap and play sooner.
