Banks send out new cards all the time. A card expires, gets replaced after a fraud alert, or moves to a new account number. Your phone wallet usually updates on its own, but the card saved on your ArcadePay account does not know about the change until you tell it.
The good news is that keeping it current takes about a minute, and you can do it right from your ArcadePay dashboard. Here is how.
What Your Saved Card Covers
The card saved on your account is what ArcadePay uses to collect your monthly service fee: $7.95 per month per controller. Billing for each controller starts when the hardware ships, not when the machine goes on location.
Separately, the 5.95% transaction fee on cashless sales shows up line by line under Reports → Transactions → Cashless, with the fee breakdown on each sale.
Step 1: Open Billing in Your Dashboard
Log in to your ArcadePay dashboard and go to Account → Billing. This is where your saved payment method lives.
Step 2: Update the Card
Choose Manage payment method, enter your new card details, and save. That's it. Your next monthly bill goes to the updated card.
A good habit: the day a replacement card arrives in the mail, update ArcadePay along with your other recurring bills. It is much easier than tracking down a missed payment later.
If a Payment Does Not Go Through
It happens. A card expires or gets declined before you had a chance to update it. If the monthly service fee cannot be collected, you will receive an email with a secure link to complete that payment. Use the link to settle the balance, then update your saved card using the steps above so it does not happen again next month.
If a Bill Looks Off
