Getting started

What is the ArcadePay Controller?

A plug‑and‑play, cellular controller that lets customers scan a QR code and pay on their phone. No app. No venue Wi‑Fi. Works on most pulse‑based machines (claw, arcade, kiddie rides, air pumps, vacuums, etc.).

Do customers need an app?

No—customers scan and pay in the browser. Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported.

Does it need Wi‑Fi?

No—cellular is built in.

How do I order?

Order the controller at arcadepay.app. After checkout you’ll complete a short onboarding form.

Is there a promotion?

Yes. Use ACPAYX → hardware free + $15 activation with a 1‑year commitment. Monthly is $7.95/controller; transaction fee is 5.95%.

Can I buy new machines with ArcadePay pre‑installed?

Yes—CandyMachines.com can ship equipment with ArcadePay pre‑installed at no extra install fee.

Onboarding

What happens after ordering?

You’ll receive a welcome email with a short Jotform. After that you’ll get a StreamPay email to complete account setup (payouts, documents). Once complete, we ship.

Is there a mobile app?

No native app. StreamPay is a PWA—open dashboard.streampay.dev in your mobile browser and “Add to Home Screen” to install.

Hardware & install

Which machines are compatible?

Any machine that accepts a pulse (START) signal—including most claw machines, arcades, kiddie rides, air pumps, and vacuums. If unsure, open a support ticket with photos of the control board.

How long does install take?

Usually minutes. Mount the QR, connect to the machine’s pulse harness, power on, set price in the dashboard, and you’re live.

Standard pulse settings?

Most machines work with a single pulse. If a device isn’t crediting correctly, we may adjust min/max pulse width and then recalculate cash in reporting to align historical totals.

Do I need venue permission?

No networking needed—cellular is built in. Power and a pulse connection are sufficient.

Payments & billing

What do customers see at checkout?

A clean QR checkout in the browser with cards and major wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, Venmo, Amazon Pay) supported.

What are my costs?

$7.95/month per controller + 5.95% per transaction. With ACPAYX: hardware $0 + $15 activation (1‑year commitment).

When does monthly billing start?

Billing starts at ship date. First month is prorated; then billed on the 1st of each month.

How are payouts handled?

Payouts run through the StreamPay platform to the bank account you configure during onboarding.

Reporting

Do I see cash and cashless together?

Yes. The dashboard shows both. If pulse timing is adjusted after installs, use Recalculate Cash to sync historical cash totals with the new settings.

How do refunds work?

Refunds are issued from the dashboard. For accidental cashless refunds, the UI includes a confirmation step to prevent misclicks.

Operations

Can I change price remotely?

Yes—change price by device, time of day, or event as needed.

Can I reassign a controller to a different operator or machine?

Yes—open a support ticket. We’ll transfer with history preserved when appropriate.

Ownership transfer?

Supported. We verify billing and device status, then transfer across accounts.

Connectivity

What if the venue has poor signal?

We can optimize antenna placement and review connection history. If the device is offline, plays queue when possible and sync later.

Does it work internationally?

Coverage varies by region. Contact support with venue details and we’ll confirm.

International & language

Is checkout multilingual?

Yes—multiple languages are supported at checkout and in the operator portal.

Support & RMA

How do I open a support ticket?

Use the Support page. Include controller IDs, venue/location, best time at the machine, and photos/screenshots.

What’s the RMA process?

If a controller is confirmed defective, we’ll issue a return label. Keep antenna and harness unless instructed otherwise.

Security & privacy

How is payment data secured?

Payments run through our platform partner’s PCI‑compliant infrastructure. Operators never store card data on devices.
