Can I Reactivate an ArcadePay Controller That Was Removed from My Account?

Yes — in many cases, a controller that was previously removed from your account can be reactivated on the same or a different machine.

What to Do

  1. Plug the controller into power. You can connect it to a machine or to any USB or barrel-jack power source — it does not need to be wired to a machine to update.
  2. Wait for the firmware to update. Leave the controller powered on and connected for at least 5–10 minutes. The controller needs a cellular signal to check in and pull any firmware updates.
  3. Contact ArcadePay Support. Once the controller is online, reply to your original order confirmation email or send a note to ops@arcadepay.app with:
    • Your name and operator email
    • The device ID (printed on the label on the back of the controller, e.g. SP:8845)
    • The machine you want to assign it to

ArcadePay Support will confirm the device is online and reactivate it on your account. You should see it appear under Machines in your dashboard within a few minutes of reactivation.

Good to Know

  • Previously replaced units: If the controller was replaced under warranty or a swap, the original unit may or may not be eligible for reactivation. Contact support to confirm.
  • No Wi-Fi needed. ArcadePay Controllers use built-in cellular — you do not need to connect to Wi-Fi to update or reactivate.
  • Reassigning to a different machine: Yes, once reactivated you can assign it to a new machine from the dashboard.

Still Need Help?

If you do not see the controller appear in your dashboard after following these steps, contact ArcadePay Support with the device ID and we will investigate.
